A Dopamine Kick (Another ADHD Podcast)

66. Burnout and How it Affects ADHD

Send us a text

This week were talking about Burnout. How it relates to ADHD, our personal experiences, plus how to help recognise and manage it.

Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion that is often caused by prolonged stress or overwork.

People with ADHD may be more susceptible to burnout because they may struggle with time management, organization, and prioritization, which can lead to chronic stress and overwork. Similarly, people who experience burnout may develop symptoms that are similar to those of ADHD, such as difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, and irritability.
